1. Company Information
These terms and conditions govern the provision of electrical services by Sparky City Ltd (Company No. 15846746), a NAPIT-approved contractor operating across London and surrounding areas. Registered office correspondence: info@sparkycity.co.uk.
2. Services
Sparky City Ltd provides domestic and commercial electrical services including, but not limited to:
- Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and landlord certificates
- Consumer unit (fusebox) upgrades and replacements
- Full and partial rewires
- Fire alarm installation and maintenance
- Emergency lighting systems
- Solar panel electrical installations
- Lighting design and installation
- Commercial electrical maintenance
- Garden and outdoor lighting
3. Quotations & Pricing
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on the information provided and a visual inspection. Additional work discovered during the job may result in revised pricing, which will be communicated before proceeding.
- VAT will be applied where applicable and clearly stated on invoices.
- Emergency call-out work may be subject to different pricing, which will be confirmed prior to attendance.
4. Bookings & Appointments
- Appointments are confirmed via phone, email, or WhatsApp. A confirmed booking constitutes acceptance of these terms.
- We will make every effort to attend at the agreed time. If delays occur, we will notify you as soon as possible.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur a charge.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of work unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
- For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work commences. The deposit amount will be stated in the quotation.
- We accept bank transfer, card payments, and cash.
6. Workmanship Guarantee
All work carried out by Sparky City Ltd is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship but does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or normal wear and tear. Materials used carry their own manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
7. Compliance & Certification
- All notifiable work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Building Regulations Part P.
- As a NAPIT-approved contractor, applicable work is notified to your local authority building control on your behalf.
- Electrical certificates (EICRs, Minor Works, Electrical Installation Certificates) will be provided upon completion of relevant work.
8. Maintenance Plans
Maintenance plan subscriptions are subject to their own specific terms as detailed at the point of purchase. Plans auto-renew annually unless cancelled with 30 days' written notice before the renewal date. Maintenance plan benefits apply only to the property specified at the time of purchase.
9. Access & Site Requirements
- You must provide safe and clear access to the areas where work is to be carried out.
- Any known hazards (e.g., asbestos, structural issues) must be disclosed before work begins.
- We may need to isolate power supplies during work. We will inform you of any planned interruptions.
10. Liability & Insurance
Sparky City Ltd is fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the contract. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@sparkycity.co.uk or call 020 3432 3934. We aim to resolve complaints within 14 working days. If we cannot resolve the matter directly, you may refer to NAPIT's dispute resolution process.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
